Shelby Hall - NAfMEC Vice President Junior, Music Education - Trombone Minor in Music and Human Services I am this year's winner of the 2016 Carole Jackson Endowed Scholarship for Music Education: an academic- and performance-based scholarship given to one JMU Junior each spring. I work at Central High School teaching general music to students with special needs twice a month, and visit the Arc in Harrisonburg each week to make music with its residents using iPads. Along with making music, I also lead Young Life Capernaum in Harrisonburg! In addition to being the Vice-President of JMU NAfMEC, I also teach lessons to trombone students around the area! I am also a member of the trombone section in the JMU Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. And I love pugs! |
